Lebanon County Courthouse Lady Justice Statue |
Description |
This bust is what remains of the statue of Lady Justice after a fire destroyed the Lebanon County Court House on Eighth & Cumberland Streets in Lebanon, PA on November 18, 1908. The full statue was eight feet tall and stood atop the court house bell tower. She held a set of scales in one hand and a sword in the other. This is the 1876 verson made by Ferdinand Duroe, which replaced the 1817 original that was commissioned for the courthouse's construction. |
